Welcome to Website Significant Journey!
I was born in Seattle, and grew up in Wrangell, on an island in Southeastern Alaska. I graduated from Walla Walla University in 1962 with a B.S. degree in nursing and worked as a Public Health and School Nurse in the Puget Sound area, Oregon, California, and in the Appalachian foothills of Maryland for several years.
While traveling in a Volkswagen van for a year in Europe and the Middle East (to Afghanistan and back) I met my husband Alain, a French Canadian from Quebec. We met in Rome.
We lived in the wilderness of central British Columbia on Tsuniah Lake for a year and a half before moving to the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state where we raised our two daughters. We home-schooled them both until they entered university. Both are married now and we have two very handsome sons-in-law.
